My girlfriend always gets the Sakedon. It's delicious!! I get the Sashimi platter 👍👍👍 prices are decent. Food quality is exquisite. Our regular spot.

Taken to an area with table seating where the restaurant has wait staff completing various work at a table next to diners. Sushi looks and tastes average. Sampled different types of Tuna Nigiri and there was so much vinegar on the rice that the fish could not be tasted.

This is the best sushi place in town! Excellent food, the best clear soup around, great edamame, and an amazing environment. Not to mention that Gao and Amy are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They do such a great job, but more importantly they are true neighbors. They always remember me, my job, and what’s going on in my life and we always make sure to catch up. Could not recommend a sushi place more; this is definitely the spot in town to make your regular haunt!

Wonderful summer meal! We trusted the chef to do what he wanted, and the results were incredible. Everyone was so nice--so glad they're up and running. Limited seating in these times, and alot of people ordering carryout. I'm a horrible photographer, but the dishes below were beautiful.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember. We love the tables in the sitting on the floor area. Always getting multiple dishes to share. Love the tempura dishes and really never had a bad dish. Now I go with my mom ad dad during their sushi happy hour. Sushi that is fresh and amazing I would suggest the chiefs roll.

Decent rolls, decent prices! Order for take out was super simple, too!

Prices are a bit high. for the quality. Gyoza was meh, sushi roll, meh, Tosa and the mango martini, YUM!! For us personally, the Tosa is worth the trip.

I have been coming to Juns for a long time. They are very consistent with service and quality. They have excellent lunch and happy hour special. Still one of the best in KC!

The crab rangoon here is the perfect texture and sweetness.

Had 2 roll lunch combo with tiger eye and dynamite roll. Both were delicious and serving size was plentiful. Absolutely tasty place to stop into with cool decor.

Great service, good food. Traditional seating is fun (try to wear shoes without laces - and clean socks!). Sushi is excellent. This has been a favorite restaurant in my family for decades. Try the bento box at lunch; it offers a great selection of Japanese foods, fills your belly, and is a super value. I only wish they had soba at dinner.

I’ve been here a few times and I finally took my husband over the weekend. It was a completely different experience. The server didn’t even take my husbands order and wouldn’t come back so he could order something.

Great experience! Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating especially when we had a big group. The owner came out and talked to us at the end to make sure we all had a good experience. Sushi was prepared well and I enjoyed all the rolls that we tried. Crab rangoon was very good as well. Did not try the hibachi so I can't speak to it but I can say it didn't look as good as other hibachi that I have experienced. If you're looking for sushi thugh I would definitely recommend giving Jun's a try!

My friend and I sat at the sushi bar. I had the rainbow roll. I was very impressed with how delicious it was! We have since ordered take out for lunch and the quality is just as good!

Best sushi in Kansas city. Maybe not as good as when Jun was there but still high quality sushi and great service.

Happy hour dinner for two! yes! and you cant go wrong with this sushi.This place is in a strip mall but don't be fooled, once you walk inside you'll see. Warm towels to wipe you hands, and the staff always friendly and happy to make suggestions. Me and my BF went here for dinner and ordered off the happy hour menu specials. So many rolls on the menu. Each roll we ordered was tastier than the next! Salmon, Tuna and eel. Each roll was perfect. I like how they have Japanese beers on the happy hour menu. I really like this place, spicy tuna roll was the best roll, spicy and salty with the right amount of kick. I recommend you go during happy hour. The prices are decent and honestly I love how they serve all the sushi in a cute boat. If you are in the mood for sushi I would most definitely recommend this place. bonus! they have low sodium and regular soy sauce. Ill be back!

Very good sushi and excellent miso soup. The crab rangoons are also noticeably fresh and tasty. The staff is very friendly and they even have a tatami room (although it's not bamboo flooring, just carpet) for a even more Japanese feel.

Good food 👍 and service. Fresh uni in the Midwest speaks to the quality and selection of this restaurant. I am very happy I only wish it was closer to home 73 mile trip each way..... But that tells you it's worth the drive enjoy.

We had shrimp & vegetable tempura dinner each. Presentation was artful & tasted great. Met a new couple there & saw two friends, we haven't seen in a while. Nice decor & service was fine.

Best place for sushi hands down in KC. Only place I know with traditional seating. A tad expensive, but usually totally worth it!

Love this place! Great sushi, seating, and friendly staff. It gets pretty busy around 6:30-7 on the weekend so you might need a reservation.

Went for lunch in the middle of the week. Kind of quiet. Sat at the Sushi prep station and had a decent conversation with the Sushi chef while he made my sushi. The sushi was delicious and the service attentive and friendly. I will definitely be returning.

Johns Sushi is KCs best by far.

Some real quality sushi available here. Rare for places in the Midwest this really tastes like it just came out of an ocean.

This location is easily accessed from State Line Road, and is only minutes from several businesses in the area. Great for a quick lunch stop, a business group, friends and family, or even solo. The staff is courteous and prompt, and the food options are fantastic! The menu has cooked and raw (sushi/sashimi) selections. Definitely worth a stop in for locals and tourists alike.

Jun’s Sushi is definitely the Best around. Freshest fish in town. Great atmosphere. I drive clear across town just to eat at Jun’s.
